house rules for The Cottage

Not suitable for children and infants

No smoking, parties, or events

Check-in is anytime after 4PM and check out by 10AM

Self check-in with lockbox

Pets cannot be left unattended in the property.

Due to previous experience, we want to make it clear the property cannot be used to charge electric vehicles as the cables would run across a public footpath.

You must also acknowledge:

Amenity limitations - The beauty of Earl Sterndale is its quiet location. The nearest shop is a few miles away. The village pub does not serve food or allow dogs.

No parking on property - You can often park outside The Cottage but there is ample parking around the village green if needed.

Must climb stairs - There is a wrought iron, spiral staircase in the property. Please look at the photos to be sure you / your pets are happy to use it.

Summerhouse - A small summerhouse in the backyard houses a barbecue, a washing machine and dry space for bikes. This is via shared access through neighbouring gardens.
